Ustadh Moustafa Elqabbany

Senior Lecturer

  • Canadian-Jordanian researcher, translator, programmer, and award-winning poet. 
  • Has translated a number of published works in tajwīd, ḥadīth, grammar, sīrah, and poetry.
  • Has translated Zuhayr’s Hanging Ode (Muʿallaqah). 
  • Has translated Qatr al-Nadā by Ibn Hishām. 
  • Has taught courses in Arabic prosody and rhyme, in addition to courses on Arabic poetry.

Ustadh Zubair Shahid

 

  • Over a decade of study in the Islamic sciences across four countries: the United Kingdom, Pakistan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia.
  • Memorised the Noble Qurʾān as an adult under the supervision of Shaykh Muʿādh of Lebanon.
  • Studied naḥw and ṣarf from al-Ājurrūmiyyah through Alfiyyat Ibn Mālik, alongside tafsīr, ʿulūm al-Qurʾān, literature, and lexicography.
  • Holds ijāzāt in several classical texts, with continuing study in ḥadīth, fiqh, and uṣūl al-fiqh.
  • Has taught al-Ājurrūmiyyah, al-Arbaʿūn al-Nawawiyyah, al-Bayqūniyyah, al-ʿArabiyyah Bayna Yadayk, and Tafsīr Juzʾ ʿAmma in masājid, institutes, and private settings.
